My mother, during her lifetime, planted a forest of oak trees, elms and pine trees on a slope, 3 alleys with benches. by the time I was 4 it was already huge, and I promised to myself to do the same when I would be grown, that each generation of women in our family would leave a forest legacy... Well, along my property on Ingerson and Hawes, I broke the concrete that srrounded the house, I planted palms, cherry and pear trees, 4 sorts of pine and a eucalyptus. It grew huge and I kept them in good shape,,,, the biggest trees on Hawes street in a 15 block range, I was so proud,,,, Now the bank owns the house and may chop it all up. But I did not fail, I tried to continue our legacy....
