My mother has developed a pressure ulcer on her ankle that is a stage IV, on a scale of I to IV, which means there is no skin and the tendon is exposed. Therefore, she cannot stay in the assisted living facility and was transferred to a skilled nursing facility, Avamere Transitional Care and Rehabilitation. The address is 1001 S. Hilton, #310, Boise, ID, 83705. Please send her a card if you have time. She is well loved by her caregivers and the residents that befriended her at SpringCreek. She has been there since June of 2011, and they never really knew her as she was before the Alzheimers took over. Although she couldnt communicate verbally, she showed them her gentle, kind soul through her beautiful smile, laugh and sparkling blue eyes. I believe its true that when God closes one door, another one opens. She had a peaceful, comfortable life these last few years. I will be in Boise the 15th for a week to get her settled in and spend some time with her. Again, I ask for your thoughts and prayers as she goes through the last phases of her journey.
