My mother is a government employee, a third grade Primary School - TopicsExpress

My mother is a government employee, a third grade Primary School Teacher. In 2010 She was transferred to a small village 80kms from home. Every year, twice she is promised a transfer to a nearer village. JUST PROMISED. this session BJP came in power .. And they promised the same.It was supposed to happen by now. But govt. teachers are assigned duties at Voting Panels to register new voters, and all kind of issues ( lost id / name change) .. & the government teachers have always played an influential role in all such matters .. Eradication of Polio .. we all know how every 2 months a camp was organized. Okay so concluding they have very important role. SALUTE to them. no doubt government does pay them good for all their efforts. But no attention on their actual problems. And Government schools do need teachers .. but its govts job to assign right teacher at right place. Whats the use if teacher cant give 100% in the purpose she has to serve? But now my mother is 54 , everyday she has to travel more than 80 kms .. spend 1/10 of her salary just in up down conveyance. And then teach bunch of children aged 5-15. Definitely her teaching efficiency decreases. Directly affecting the childs education. For the transfer she has to contact zonal office .. need to maintain contacts in Education ministry ( Yess otherwise no one listens ) , Being totally honest .. she wont mind bribing too. ( Sadly :-( being a teacher ). She is not corrupt nor she teaches those morals. But why is this helplessness that she told me she wont even mind bribing. I never took it seriously but .. her day involves lot of efforts. Is this really a part of her duty?
