My mother simple loved christmas and it wasn,t the gifts and it wasn,t about santa claus . Sure she did the lights and the tree but that was for use. She let us know that Jesus. Was the only reason for the season.We have drifted away from the true meaning Of christmas . Do you really think our kid only deserves something once a year(come on man). Reward them when they do good and give them what they need but don,t give them everything they ask for if we always did that they would figure that thay can get what they want when they want it. Back in the day our people knew this our generation will be the last generation with common. Sense unless you make a difference. Just think about it back in our time how many drive by shooting.
