My mother was laid to rest on 24th of March 2014, in our ancestral graveyard, at Vethpara, Batwara Srinagar Jammu and Kashmir State. Unfortunately, I could not shoulder the coffin of my mother as the disputed status of my motherland prevented me from taking part in the burial ceremony. However people of all shades, in Kashmir and abroad, reached out with sympathy to offer comfort to me and my family both in Pakistan and Kashmir. This support and sympathy, undoubtedly granted strength and courage to the bereaved family. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all those who expressed their sympathy, supported me and shared my grief during the loss of my mother.
