My mothers songs on the Internet ...... Strange how the concept of email has become obsolete!!!! I had sent this information as an important email to a select few family and close friends ….. but amazingly I got only ONE SINGLE reply …… I’m sure this FB post will have a different reaction …… I just thought Id search for my mother’s songs on Google .... typed Marathi songs + Kumud Kulkarni …. and hey presto! I found the songs she had recorded for Late Shree Anand Modak some 3 years ago … with me to accompany her (saath denyasaathi) :) Here are the links to both songs recorded for the movie Khairlanjichya Maathyawar (indianexpress/article/entertainment/screen/khairlanjichya-mathyavar-marathi-the-true-picture/): gaana/song/mahadeva-jato-ga .... I have always loved the original soundtrack which Mom had recorded in the 60s. gaana/song/anand-janu-bai .... In this song, Anand Modak had asked me to sing in a nasal rustic voice .... which I did under duress …… I can hardly recognize my own voice!!!
