My name is Aaron Hurd and I am the Volunteer and Research - TopicsExpress

My name is Aaron Hurd and I am the Volunteer and Research Coordinator for the Junior Science Outreach Program, 2012-2013. This program was created to expose children of the South Valley to science by leading them in fun, science-based activities and presentations. I am happy to announce that JSOP would like to extend an invitation to anyone who is interested in this summer’s program! The camp will be held every morning at the West Side Community Center (South Valley) during the week of July 29th through August 2nd. An orientation will be held on July 21st from 11am to 1pm, and demo days will be held July 22nd and 23rd (times TBA). Duties for the camp would include helping us set up, take down, lead activities, present on topics of science, and act as a role model for the kids. Our theme is sustainability centered, but we encourage diverse teaching of all the sciences. The last three years that I have taken part in this program have been absolutely rewarding, and I was able to meet a lot of new people. I strongly encourage anyone who is interested to apply! A science background is not required, just a desire to encourage these children! If you are interested in providing a fun, educational experience to the children of our community, please apply online via the link https://docs.google/forms/d/1y3k7UI4ixuE9_L0twxnAejlHQozi-b6qPSi5Q0ZMc0A/viewform or check out our website juniorscientist.org. You can contact us at [email protected] with any questions. We hope to hear from you, and have a great rest of the summer! Sincerely, Aaron Hurd Volunteer & Research Coordinator JSOP 2012-2013
