My name is Christina Madrigal and this is my Thrive - TopicsExpress

My name is Christina Madrigal and this is my Thrive experience. Alright.... So Im promoting now! Ive been doing the Thrive program for 4 months now. Not only have I gone from a size 22 down to a size 16 (which is a big deal for me!), BUT I feel AMAZING!!! I have the energy I had lost since I really havent stopped chasing my 4 year old around and driving the commute to her school and back several days a week, home schooling other days, working from home with my job, and then going to work until 9-10pm. Needless to say, my days are full and busy. So I gave it a shot and Ive been doing great! I have the energy to run at night and lift weights in order to lose weight after the full days. This never happened before I started Thrive! I was a 14 in American Eagle Jeans in High School. I was a competitive swimmer and was in great shape, a muscular built swimming machine. I swam 5 days a week 2 hours a day (sometimes more depending on the season) and lifted 4 days a week (a min of an hour a day), not to mention stairmaster/elliptical machine a few days a week for 30-45 min after practice. I loved the exercise and it helped me cope with the high school drama. When I got in an accident in 2005 it ruined everything. A car ran a red light and ran over the front of my car. I escaped with some injuries, but I kept swimming at a minor level. Major championship meets passed and I was unable to compete due to injuries. College swimming was out the window. I pushed on and started coaching while going to school at the local University. I coached swimming, while continuing my education and pursued my passion in the culinary field. Needless to say.... I love food and it loves me. Being a chef means tasting what you cook... and cooking marvelous food. Weight watchers failed me here. Points added up at the end of the day and no meals were eaten so I was hungry all the time. 2 sayings we learned in school... never trust a skinny chef and fat is flavor so.... I gained a little weight... still working out and swimming less and less.... coaching and school was my day, hardly time and energy for trying to stay in shape. Another car accident later and more injuries. I just kind of gave up. I focused on finishing school, my boyfriend (at the time & now husband) helped me get to school and work and encouraged me to keep going and stay positive. Life happens. I graduated culinary school and moved to Las Vegas, got a job in a kitchen with my degree, and ended up running the kitchen 6 months later. Got married, had my daughter, and didnt have time for me. I gained a lot of weight. I was happy... but I was heavy and felt like Well now Im here... no turning back now. We moved back to Salinas in 2010, Alex got his new job, I came back to the team after receiving a phone call from my second Mom asking for help in running a facility for the swim team and the need for a Sr. Group Coach again. Life was busy. Still having the passion to cook, I cooked at home, so Alex and I both gained weight now. Lol! Now to 4 months ago. Rosanna approached me and said Give Thrive a try! set me up for a couple of days... And I ended up calling her back and saying I need my Thrive! I felt the energy, the focus, and the drive back. It was like high school energy all over again! My back and knee aches lessened greatly and things were getting better. I kept at it, adjusted meals, drank ALOT of water and started swimming again, exercising more, and now I am running miles at a time and lifting again regularly. I didnt see the weight loss myself, but everyone else did. When your clothes dont fit, I guess thats a sign. So here I am now 4 months in and have lost 28 pounds, into a size 16, and energy for miles. Its all natural! A vitamin, a shake you make yourself and it tastes great you can add fruit and ice like I do, and the DFT foam! The best thing you can do for YOURSELF and your family to be a better you! Let my story be an inspiration for yourself!!! Its never too late try something for yourself!
