My name is Errol Kayseas I am running for Chief of Fishing Lake First Nation . I will start the first post off with a brief history of our high schhol project , the actual facts that the school is going through and the federal process explaining the reasons for delays . In two years we should have our school if not thier is alternate way to complete this task at hand, this will be shared with a different post , at that time I will give you a five year capital plan that is needed for future economic development . HIGH SCHOOL UPDATE Our children for the past 120 years have not had a high school to develop in , a science lab to produce scientists , music room to develop our future musicians , a comfortable warm classroom to have their minds focused on their studies , and a GYM to so we have badminton , basketball , running track , exercise equiptment . This entails many benifits for the community like working as a team by creating a basketball team , this has team work skills that require 15-20 people to come together and work as a team , badminton is a partner sport that requires team skills but can also play alone . Science Labs to do experiemnts and maybe develop the next Albert Einstien or develop children that will do great things.The possibilities are endless when it comes to our people of Fishing Lake, However we need funding from the federal Government (AANDC) to get this venture started . I will give you the facts of where we are at as a community when it comes to our high school . You will all understand when I explain to you the process we are going through. As a chief I will give updates on all band activities with quarterly meetings to be open and transparent with ALL band members in this fashion having eight total meetings over two years(streaming webcasts) , this is the only promise I will make as a chief !! MARK MY WORDS !! Fishing Lake First Nation is # 1 in the region and 44th nationally for a high school with having a good chance to move up on the list with the Corporate support we can gain with sound consultants that is needed and involving our educated individuals from our community assisting in the process of securing our high school . Steven Harper will be passing Bill C-33 (Education ACT) in the spring session into law . This will allow the Federal government to allocate funds to communities in need of a high school . Giving we are # 1 on the regional list I believe we have a good chance to land this school that is so needed . What I am explaining to you the rest of Canada was introduced in the thrown speech from Prime Minister Harper (Eww) . There is a secondary plan that I have created in my head and is in full development that includes the dreams that Fishing Lake membership have told me over the past 15 years of listening to what people had to say , but I will leave that for a different post later on this week . What i want to stress is I was involved in the community in many capacities with band business , development , hockey , fastball , charities , youth , politics and sharing on the grassroots level sharing my experiences of hard work and committment from my past that got me to where I am at today and explain it in detail . Ever since I have been elected councillor I came around and helped community members as best I can . When you run for chief of a community you have to be present to your people as much as you possibly can and I did this . I will explain in webcasts the activities and small sccomplishments we had as a community . I love Fishing Lake and would not want any other job but to lead my people on the road to ACCOUNTABILITY & TRANSPARENCY !!! I will work hard to gain the trust on the band level showing all of you we can be accountable not to the government but to our people !! I know the focus will be to serve my people with loyalty,equality and a good heart to share with all my people . UNITY will make us successful , a lot of good things come from unity and I know Errol as an individual I am not in it for me but for my people and will serve no one else but FISHING LAKE !! The information I have compiled the past two years I believe no other chief candidate can explain and present the information like ERROL KAYSEAS can ! We need a voice that speaks up like I did and fight with a iron fist !! This is just one project we will be doing over the next five years to improve our community as a whole . I believe I can be the one to explain information to our investors and show them we are for real ! I believe we can use SUBVERSION to defeat the struggles we have with the federal government, Voting in a YOUNG CHIEF is our best way to future development and this is what we need right now as a community.. A good plan with no spending but setting up for the next election !! If you do not like the transparent & Accountable chief I will be , vote in another next term .. But you will see I will do good and make my people proud ! VOTE Errol Kayseas for chief !!!
