My name is Josephine “Jo” Davidson and I am asking for your vote for Clay County Jailer, on November 4th. I am an individual who cares about all people, and feel that they should be treated humanely, with respect, dignity and fairness. My parents were Elmer Barger and Lillian (Davidson) Barger, both now deceased. My paternal grandparents were the late Levi Barger and Sylvania (Asher) Barger and Sophia (Doyle) Barger and my maternal grandparents were James Matt Davidson and Sylvania (Hudson) Davidson. I have twenty (20) plus years experience with corrections, as a Pretrial Officer and the last 12 years running a statewide home incarceration program. I understand the severity of the many issues currently at the Jail and the absolute need for change. Our Jail should be self sufficient, not an additional financial burden on our County. I am well qualified for this office.
