My name is Kenna. I am a lady of almost 8 years of age and I have a lot of problems right now. For some of those problems, I just need medicine and treatment, but for others, it will take a lot more than that. I am very frightened. I was picked up by Soi Dog at a nearby temple, where I had been badly attacked by another dog. The attack left me with a wound on my back, but when the vets examined me, they found so many other things wrong with me. I had septicaemia, mange, severe anaemia and blood parasites. My skin was crusted and scabbed; my eyes had terrible discharge. I was so weak and in constant pain. Since being at the shelter, the vets are treating my wound and all my illnesses every day. Even though I will sometimes let them pick me up when it’s time for my treatment, I have to admit that I do sometimes bite them. I am just so confused; it will take me some time to trust and let go of the fear. Despite everything I have been through, I know that I am one of the lucky ones. Because of donations from a special group of Soi Dog supporters called the Emergency Response Team, I was able to be picked up and treated. I know that there are many others out there who also need rescuing. Can YOU help them?
