My name is Scott Burnett and I suffer from depression. This is not a goof post or a plea for your pity. I am hoping sharing this may help at least 1 person to reach out and get help. I am a total basket case. I have pushed away just about everyone in my life that ever cared about me. Mental sickness is no laughing matter. The sad death of Robin Williams sent me into a bit of a manic spiral. But it honestly helped me to see I was not healthy in my head. The love and support from Kimberly did not seem enough. This is a symptom of depression. But through her persistence and love, I am taking steps with medication to become healthy inside and out. Again this is not a pity plea. This is a plea to take mental health seriously. Do NOT let warning signs go unchecked. Without Kim I am not sure what would have become. You can help someone! Its never too late to show someone some love. Pay it forward. Cliché I know but for real. Give someone a soul recharge. You may just be saving someones life. Long battle ahead. Right now is an up. There will be many downs. Take this moment of clarity from me and know you are not alone. It can and does get better.
