My neighbours salary , after all deductions including tax and the rest is GHc 200.00 The money is sent into her account in the bank. By John Mahamas present regulation, if she goes to the bank to withdraw GHC 100.00, she will be given that sum but the balance on her account will be reduced by GHc 17.50 being the VAT on the withdrawal of GHc 100 she has made. The balance on her account therefore will be GHc 82.50....... The next time she goes to withdraw the balance in her account, she will be entitled to only GHc 68.06 because she will again have to pay 17.5 % VAT on the second withdrawal. SIMPLE DAYLIGHT ROBBERY !!! Allotey Jacobs is right but it is Mahama that must GO !!
