My new natural gas powered generator just completed its weekly self test and run. It ran for 5 minutes. For those of you wanting to know how loud it is it is outside my bedroom window about 5 feet from the house. At first I thought the neighbor was mowing his lawn then I realized it was a sound in my yard. It is just a little louder than my box fan in my room. It is a steady noise and not very loud (not as loud as gasoline generators) so I will be able to sleep with it running. Generac is the brand if anyone is curious.
