My new toy. Im sharing this with everyone. It has been a long and tiring day. For the last 2 1/2 years I have tried to buy this Minneapolis Moline 5297 Combine. Of all the things I have purchased in life this was the most difficult. Over the past 2 ½ years I have become friends with the owners friends and neighbors. They have checked me out and assured her that I am honest. When the money changed hands today the deal was made with a handshake. Now begins the process of getting it out of the trees, loaded and home. It will not be easy. Most people would pass on this but I think it needs to be saved and like my father – I am German stubborn. I’ll get it done. At times I was discouraged and gave up hope. Cynthia Lynn stood beside me and pressed me on, I owe her. Today ends a 15 year quest to find and buy one of these combines. If you think I ain’t proud of this … set down and I’ll tell you about it.
