My next mod that took 2 hours to do. Removing turn signals and installing them in the European style sockets. Parts: 4 - T10 (194) Sockets - Ebay 8 - Male bullet Connectors - Walmart Small paring knife - Kitchen 4 - T10 (194) Amber Colored Bulbs - Walmart It was easy to crimp the wire into the bullet connectors as no soldering was required. Simply removed the old turn signals. Took out the European sockets and cut a hole thru the back by slowly spinning the paring knife until the socket fit snug. The rear was harder as there was a lot of plastic to disassemble. On reassembly of the rear, I left out certain screws so I can remove the tail light enclosure without having to take all that apart again. The bullet connectors popped right in the female connectors quite snug. Now upon usage the bulbs blink faster due to less load put on the relay. Ill try and get another relay at Autozone today but its not that bad. I can get an LED relay but I like to be able to hear the clicking thus Ill have to install some sort of buzzer if I go the LED relay route which I may do if I go to all LEDS next year. I dont care for putting in load resistors as this mod is to reduce energy consumption. Legality of this mod: Some states require turn signals to be a certain distance apart. The front should be legal but the rear may not be legal in some states. Here in Connecticut, I am reading that no turn signals are required on motor bikes. You must use the proper colored bulbs (see you state regs).
