My oh My... am I ever WORKED UP! A friend of mine just posted something on their Facebook Page... They have a picture of a crochet tank top that is being sold for $900. It has a designers name associated to it so its commanding this price. Im sorry... that yarn better be lined with gold for this top to be worth $900. I support creativity... I love artists and support them... but lets have a little perspective... Remove that label off the back of that top and someone wouldnt know the difference between someone here on The Crochet Crowd Community making this verses a designer... In fact, dollars to donuts... I am sure some of us can be a little more inventive... I am being critical yes and I shouldnt be but it doesnt seem fair to me that a designer can get these kind of dollars when regular people like you and I create stuff and people think we should do it for free or offer us pocket change for our time and creativity! Am I am standing alone here on my thoughts? For $900 you could buy yarn and whip up 100s of hats for Out of the Cold Shelter Programs and it be far more for the greater good of mankind. Man this got me all worked up!
