My oldest son left on a plane this morning for his college orientation at Hofstra University . Im glad he made it safely :) I am sooooo proud of him and what he has accomplished for himself despite all of the issues he has gone through via no fault of his own. I have a feeling that even with a scholarship and federal student aid that I will be feeling a little broke over the next 4 yrs; it cost me $20 for a ride to the JAX airport $80 for the taxi ride from JFK to the university in addition to the airfare (not to mention the housing and meal plans) It would be nice if I wasnt the only one who had to bear this financial obligation however my children are worth all the sacrifices I have made over the years and I will continue to work my butt off in order to provide the best I can for them.
