My opinion that it would be an overreaction. Screening is called for, certainly. Just as health screening is the reason to shore up our boarders. Disease will spread and fortunately we are well equipped to handle them. That does not mean we take the drastic measures stated but nor does it mean we should be lax in screening travelers entering the country, no matter from where they are coming . US citizen or from another country no exceptions, including diplomats.
