My own interpretation on Sias Elastic Heart music video: Yeah. I know its really about Sias 2 sides fighting or whatever. But when I watched the music video, I cried. I thought of something else. I thought of a father and daughter relationship that ends in tragedy. I saw a father that does everything to make his daughter happy but his daughter does not appreciate his efforts. All his sacrifices are repaid by his daughter through bad things; things that will harm her dad. Theres a part in the video where the girl comes out of the cage and the older male tries to chase the girl and come out as well, but ends up in failure, right? What I see is a daughter rebelling against her father and a father trying to discipline her but fails miserably. Theres also a scene where the girl goes back inside the cage and tries to reconcile with the older male. In this part, I see the daughter finally realizing her mistakes and trying to fix her relationship with her dad but it was too late. She tries to get him out of the cage but fails. Her father is growing weaker and weaker and theres nothing she can do. Lesson: Give immense value to those who love you while theyre still by your side. https://youtube/watch?v=KWZGAExj-es
