My paintings are in the genre of Folk Art. I am not a fine artist, I guess I see things in a different manner, I love the simplicity and decorative form of art. Painting in this form allows me to be totally creative and not restricted. I am in awe of those who can paint to perfection, they have an amazing ability to capture true likeness, but I found it was not for me. Folk art encompasses art produced from an indigenous culture or by peasants or other laboring tradespeople.
