My parents and grandparents and their contemporaries used to say, that we are not a country of deprived poor people. We are a nation of spoiled whiners who have chosen not to take responsibilityfor our own circumstances, but instead expect others to take care of us. My grandparents and their parents lived through the depression and war era, and knew what true suffering and needs are. Is it too late for us to learn the same lesson???
