My personal experience with deep meditative states trough - TopicsExpress

My personal experience with deep meditative states trough meditation, or trance states or entheogenic experiences via Entheogens has been that they reveal the structures of our psychology, amongst many other things but I will focus on this now. It strips you of all you believe yourself to be, your concepts, your illusions and reveals to you the bare naked foundations of your mind. As a Hungarian friend of mine called it makes you into a csupasz ember which means naked human. Basically it makes you a human without history, you are no longer a German, a Japanese, a salesperson, a janitor, all these concepts become obsolete and under such states you truly see how primitively you have categorized the world, labeled it. It is useful for biological evolutionary survival, but if you thirst for knowledge it is no where near the full depth and spectrum of reality. You see the layers of how your psychology is built up, from the ego, the most primitive desires all the way to the most noble beautiful chores of your being. We humans are so much more then our bodies, so infinitely more complex. Perhaps our DNA and the Life process itself is behind the curtain of our normal personality, the true guiding force of Life, and our personality is just a useful tool to survive with. As you see yourself as a less cultural historically tainted person, you become to see yourself as the biological process of Life. Suddenly the language of science makes a lot more sense, biology, chemistry, thermodynamics etc. It is hard to explain, but you begin to see how the vast majority of humanity live within society, shallow labels of the world, they live their lives very simple and perceive the world in a very simple way. It is not wrong, but that is the way things are. Deep psychological experiences completely shatter your primitive aspects, you become more a creature of Nature, more a being of the Universe itself, closer to Life and less in the abstract world of humans. When you had such a profound psychological experience, which can be deeply disturbing for some for they do not always like what they see, you are a changed person. It was the day when I decided to to learn as much as I could about the world, absorb knowledge, study people and myself, perfect my body and mentality and most of all I realized that we are all in this together, everything is interconnected so in order to grow we must give a little of ourselves to the world. These are deep psychological concepts that I speak of, and they are not easy to digest for some, but every monk, shaman, mystic, psychologist whatever you wish to call it right from the beginning of time have had the same experiences. Peak experience, Ego death... The Buddha had it, Jesus had it... The list is to long to complete...
