My poor hubby experienced the below medical explanation first hand over the weekend and it resulted in him passing out and falling. I am praising God today that his injuries were not as serious as they could have been, no fractures, just super soreness from the tile floor which is pretty unforgiving to the body. Sharing this because maybe many of you (like me) have never heard of this before as a result of choking. Vasovagal Syncope 1. (Pathology) a faint brought on by excessive activity of the vagus nerve, causing the heart to slow and the blood pressure to fall. It can be caused by fear, choking, or stomach cramps and has no lasting effects
