My pork and sauerkraut- I like to use pork ribs on the bone. I put the ribs in crock pot w/water to cover the ribs. Cook ribs til good tender then cut off the bone into pieces. add amount of sauerkraut of your choice. ,,I like to add some chopped onions also cook pork and sauerkraut for 45 minutes or so, , or until you start to get that sauerkraut aroma throughout your home,, When it starts cooking good I like to add dumplings,, my easy dumplings are made from refrigerated biscuits that come in a tube. I separate the biscuits and tear them up into small pieces.. maybe tear each biscuit into thirds or fourths,, keep in mind they will swell when cooked. drop the dough into the ribs, sauerkraut and water,, cook maybe another 30-45 minutes till dumplings are done to your own satisfaction.
