My prayer for the Honor Ride: “Our dear heavenly Father, today we ride to honor the fallen. We thank You specifically for Clay Hunt, for his service and for the way he touched lives. Even we who have sacrificed some have difficulty in grasping the cost for those who sacrificed all. You taught us through your scripture, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” Too many of us have witnessed firsthand the carnage of war and felt the warmth and breath of life flee from those who stood beside us in battle. We thank you for their incomprehensible devotion to faith, family, and flag. It is beyond our ability as mere mortals to pay adequate respect or high enough esteem to these brave and courageous souls. We humbly beseech You that with each push of our pedals, with each beat of our heart, and with each tear that we shed that You might find acceptable our remembrance of and homage to our fallen brothers and sisters in arms. Please, Oh Lord, provide peace, comfort, and rest to those who were left behind. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.”
