My prayers to God every morning is that APC should remain focused and steadfast in the cause of rescuing this country from the locusts and canker worms. Anything else will spell doom for everybody. We cannot survive another 4 years under these rogues and liars. My fears are not misplaced because PDP has a way of infiltrating opposition parties and planting moles in them (remember Ume Ezeoke of blessed memory). The PDP has enjoyed so much power that it will resist any attempt at getting it out of power. The so called national confab is one of such resistance. The President enjoys and loves power so much that he had to deny making a pact to serve one term only, a fact which was widely reported in the media. APC must be prepared to have a very fierce battle. A battle that may consume some of its leading members. The party must be ready to confront PDP moles within its ranks as the goodwill and mass followership of the party is the major cause of PDPs sleeplessness. I sincerely do not envy the APC as the battle ahead of the party can only be imagined. The fact that God has brought the party this far is no reason to relax or believe that the battle is already won, no. Make no mistakes, what lies ahead is more frightening and extremely difficult than what has been achieved. The opponent is strong, rich and ruthless. You underrate it at your peril. Its capacity to inflict pain on anybody or anything on its path is limitless. Its war machine is almost perfect. The APC has traveled almost smoothly so far because of the spirit of give and take. You must sustain the spirit. Endeavor to avoid in-fighting and local skirmishes. Where any member need to give up his personal ambition for the good of the party and Nigeria, the member should do so.
