My puppy Chandler got a hold of something in grandma’s car this morning and when I tried to see what it was he growled fiercely and bit me on my finger over what was probably a cough drop, in a wrapper even. My finger is still bleeding 1 ½ hours later. I can’t blame him; he IS a terrier and they are known for their instinct to hunt and protect. Although that is a funny thought considering he weighs about 5 pounds and is smaller than a small cat. He is a smart dog and has learned many things but, apparently, not the proverb, “Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.” We’ll have to work on that one. I hope he is that fierce and protective when it is me in danger. ;)
