My reflections of the Nevada BLM cattle confiscation: 1. Thank God there was no bloodshed. MY prayers were answered. 2. Gathering cattle in a way that mamas and babies get separated, cattle get run to death, and bulls are shot is unforgivable. This IS a real animal rights abuse. Where are the animal rights activists? 3. Using the premise of kicking someone off land to protect the same tortoises that the government is euthanizing by the hundreds, insults the intelligence of the American people. What is the real story? 4. No, its not over. I dont have the answers. But I will say this: The working cowboys that I know are men of honor, who have earned my respect and trust. Cowboy ethics are a real thing. No, most are not college educated. They dont have the mainstream media behind them. They dont have a marketing crew to write sound bytes for them. They also havent made their living off the tax payer dollar, by making empty promises to the masses, or by negotiating self-serving, closed-door deals. BUT- If you see working cowboys willing to get on their good horses and walk directly toward government guns pointed at them... there is something important about this one to the core. Be careful to be quick to cry out Follow the rules, Bundy. At one time, slavery was legal in this country. Making something into law does not guarantee it to be moral or good.
