My regional experience with REX. Was a little disconcerting catching a courtesy bus out to the tarmac to board the plane (had it started down the runway already???)....now I find it charming. The pilot tied the propeller down so there were no Jack Norman incidents and then greeted each of us. Left the clouds behind in Melbourne and landed in Wagga, bathed in a glorious orange glow of sunset. The airport is about as big as a really realllllllly small Bunnings store. Said to the taxi driver, Tell me all about Wagga Cabbie says: We have a grouse abbattoir! AND.....we have Charles Sturt University. Best town. Wagga. ............and he looks off into the distant wheat fields lovingly and proud.
