TFL is often synergistic dominant in the sitting disease. This can easily be seen via flexion during a kneeling side plank, side leg raise (abduction). Weakness can also be seen when a postural muscle has been overactive for a prolonged period. Chad Benson: There is limited benefit to rolling the TFL or IT Band. But much benefit in removing the adhesions / attempting to separate this dense tendinous like tissue from its brothers to the front and back (via shear and torsion roller techniques)...Love your post - keep up the great work. ++++++++ I have a follow-up Video for the muscle test :)
