My response to a question that was prompted by my wonderful friend, Valencia King :-) From a very early age, I was surrounded by children, even when I was one myself. I was put into positions that inevitably left an impression on their brains. I didnt start to take these roles seriously until I started to see the impact that I had on them, both negatively and positively. I shout it to the mountain tops to everyone , that without my students , I am weak. They are the vessel that feeds the knowledge I seek. The knowledge of our history is for them. It is for us. It is for everyone. I owe my life to serving our community, because without them, we are nothing.
