My sense is that Morsi really over-stepped his bounds... and pushed the majority of Egyptian society much further than they were willing to put up with.. Kinda like what the Tea Party is trying to do in the USA... The Tea Party won the House and could win the Senate - even if they cannot win the presidency....... If they do keep the House and win the Senate, how do you think the rest of the USA is going to react? Not Very Happy Campers. and with damn good reason. That might be what it feels like in Egypt right now. As in, How The Hell Did That Happen and What Can We Do About It... Followed by a whole lot of hot heads with guns saying "The country is ours, we won the election, we have a MANDATE." Is it really that hard to relate, folks?
