My sister and mother who live 17 miles out of Hill City have been without electricity since Friday morning. About 45 inches of snow, heavy and wet. Thankfully, Linda Kramer was able to get out the front door to retrieve firewood. Evidently poles are down all over. Road was plowed today but driveway impassable. Plenty of food. The generator is too difficult to start, like an old lawnmower. Could be a long winter.
