My sister was stricken with a brain bleed Sunday night. She was life flighted to the Hospital. I was out of town but was immediately called. I called Rob McKee who sent a prayer team to the hospital. This was all happening around 11-12 pm. My family began to pray and I rushed back to Houston from Longview. When I got to the hospital I saw my sister laying in the ICU, hooked to all sorts of machines but on her head was a prayer towel. With all the tech stuff and computers there lay a symbol of faith. The doctor told me that 50% of the people stricken with this die immediately. Only 3% live without complications. He said to expect a 21 day stay in ICU at the least. BUT we know how to pray.... so we prayed. On Christmas day my sister stood by herself two times. Yes, she is still hooked to machines but right there on her head is a prayer towel. My sister was at one time one of the best piano / organ players around the UPC but many years ago a person damaged her greatly. Although she would come hear me preach occasionally she never made a move to return to God. She knows her life was spared by God because of a praying family and others. I think her focus will be different when she gets out. I want to thank Rob McKee and the young preachers he is training. They drove nearly an hour to get this hospital to pray for my sister. The Holy Ghost came in and they spoke in tongues and she said.... I knew I was going to live. And the old prayer towel still silently lays there amid all the vast knowledge of man as the symbol of FAITH.
