My socially conscious, politically active little sister says: (But i would say everyday people are stars :) We are the movies) Treat everyone you meet like they are a star (b/c they are) I understand that people feel sad over Robin Williams suicide but why does it become so large and such a huge event. What about all the everyday people, not movie stars who choose suicide. The alarming amount of first nations who kill themselves. The thousands of innocent people, communities and ethnicities that are wiped out on a regular basis, with no choice to end their lives. He was a 63 year old man who made that choice. He had a lot of support and access to vast resources. I am sad when anyone chooses this as an option but I am tired of people reacting to the famous suicides and not getting involved on a local level regarding this. A young man hung himself on a farm close to us and this makes me far more worried than Robin Williams.
