My son fell sometime over the weekend and now has this deep scrape on his knee. We put one of those large bandaids on it and as you know, thats every four-year olds dream to have a nice bandaid. Hes quite proud of it actually. Hes so proud, that Ive noticed over the past few days he has shown it to everyone...like its a trophy, a sign of what hes been through. Ive also noticed that each time he pulls that bandaid back to tell someone the story of his fall, he breaks a piece of the scab. I told him not to do that because the scab is a natural bandaid. It comes to help heal the scar. If he keeps peeling off the bandaid, the scab will keep coming off and he will only continue to bleed...each and every time. Many of you are like Abel E. Youve been through something and now you want to keep talking about it. You want to keep telling all of your business to people who probably dont care and who certainly cannot help you. And each time, you are left bleeding worse than you were before. Its ok to testify of your story. But telling your business before you have completely healed is picking at that scab. Do yourself a favor. Leave the bandaid alone and allow yourself to heal. No FB statuses about your issues, no texts messages, no circle of friends. They are probably the reason you are in the shape youre in in the first place. Healing WILL come naturally. We are designed that way and you are a lot stronger than you think. Allow God to heal you completely. Hes the manufacturer. He made you and He knows exactly what its going to take to put you back together again. Dont put your faith in people. Leave the bandaid alone watch God work it allllllllll out! :~)
