My son is 18 with Pervasive Developmental Disorders. Over the past 15 years he has come farther than most everyone could imagine. About 4 months ago he asked me about taking a martial arts class. I told him to research it on his own and he did. He found a class that advertises that they are specially trained in working with persons on the autism spectrum. Reporting that they teach focus, control and that this in turn increases their own self esteem. Trying very hard to help foster my sons independence I told him to make the contacts and ask the questions regarding times, pricing, etc. He did and we visited the class about two months ago. Today I told my son if we are going to sign you up we need the long term information as well as the starting package, so he e-mailed the instructor again. This is the response he received (directly cut and pasted)... Are you kidding me??? You have been in...you have called both me and the modesto school and you were even at my school!!! I have told you and your mother the pricing on the programs I offer!!! You need to commit or stop with the emails and the calls!!! You are wasting ppls time with this!! Over and over!! We run a business and our time needs to be out towards the ppl that want to participate in what we offer!! Needless to say we wont be enrolling him at this school
