My son posted this on his FaceBook Page. He was an Army Ranger with Special Forces/Troops Battalion. Ben invested eight years before he made the decision to exit. He returned at the end of December 2013 & started College in Jan 2014. Ben was not injured but he did deploy to Afghanistan & Iraq on more occasions than I care to remember or even think about. This article & the fact that he was brave enough to post it gave me a new perspective on how he feels in trying to come back home. It has not been & is not a smooth &/or easy process for any of us during this transition period. (I thought it would be). He is not the same son I watched leave for boot camp back in 2005. All Military Families are NOT finished when their soldiers boots hit the ground back in the USA & Exit the Army. PLEASE take the time to read this article & pray for all our Military Families; ~* Including Mine *~ Vic, Ben & I are all determined to work as a team to put all the pieces back together as best we can to build a New Family Unit. Our Family Unit we had before is just that .... before. Freedom is NOT Free & There are Sacrifices that are made; for the Soldiers & their Families waiting for them to come home; and even AFTER they have come home. We feel truly blessed & grateful that we are all back together again & even have this opportunity to rebuild. Some gave ALL in their Sacrifice.
