My sorority sister, who is fighting an aggressive form of breast - TopicsExpress

My sorority sister, who is fighting an aggressive form of breast cancer, made this video. PLEASE WATCH AND SHARE! And also pray for her recovery. A couple of months ago I shared with you all that I was going through a health challenge. This past July I was diagnosed with an aggressive cell breast cancer that spread to my chest wall. I made the decision not to share here on FB until I was through the first round of surgery and treatment. I needed to consider my children and family, as social media can sometimes be a beast; while even well meaning comments can be a bit scary. I didn’t want my children (or I) to take on that energy. My family needed to see me get stronger first and know that ALL IS WELL. It also gave me the time I needed to focus on me and sift through my emotions about it all. So fast-forwarding two months now into my journey, I’m feeling stronger and healing well! With still another surgery planned, I have every bit of faith that I will continue to heal and BE WELL! It’s non negotiable! Shortly after the diagnosis I was inspired and actually found strength, in making this video. From day one, Id already decided I was going to fight and survive! We shot this video before the surgery with a few shots added this weekend. Editing the video , a little bit every day, actually became a part of my healing. Not jumping and boxing around again yet, but I’m definitely knocking out any and everything about having had breast cancer! With the help of friends I’ve been filming my journey and when I get to the other end of this road, I will share. Grateful for the many breast cancer survivors I’ve met along the way; so many stories of strength and courage! I’ve got some strong mama’s in my corner, including my own, and Mama said, KNOCK YOU OUT cancer! Nuff said!
