My soul is very over burdened and overwhelmed since the outbreak of Ebola in Mama Liberia!!!! Can you imagine over 200 people have died within less than six months and over 100 are affected and without adequate medical treatment, they too will be dead. I have lost some wonderful friends and the thought of losing any of my family member, especially my twin sister, scare the hell out of me (Nesuah is doing well) because the disease is very contagious and seems like everyone back home is vulnerable. It is difficult for me to read my Bible, have my quiet time or even pray in such trial time but as my former pastor, Helen Hollingsworth always said, just whisper the name of Jesus when you cannot even say a word and that name is enough to take you through. Lord, please give me and my fellow Liberians the strength to hold unto your unchanging hands and heal the victims of this deadly disease. Comfort the friends and family members of those who have lost loved ones to this disease. I also pray that you will speak in the minds of people to give to the Lutherans In The Diasporas Ebola Fund Drive to help the Lutheran Church in Liberia help save lives through educational awareness programs and proper training of medical practitioners in Liberia. We need all of the prayers and support that we can get and thanks very much for your concern.
