My status is: hurt and very angry. Charlie wanted to help out Sadies STEM school basketball team, they are a new team this year, and the wonderful teacher who coaches the team gladly accepted Charlies help. This afternoon he went to the practice, the team was told that Charlie was there to show the team some plays they could use during games, the coach also told the team Charlie was just there to help, not to coach. Just a few minutes ago, the coach called to say she was inundated with calls and emails.... As was the athletic director, Mr. Murphy at Sandwich STEM academy about Charlie helping out. Now, not only does the Coach have to explain to Mr. Murphy that Charlie was just helping....Charlie is not allowed to help any more. That made me upset for Sadie and the girls in the team, I truly think they will miss out on a lot not having help for the Coach. But what really makes me hurt and wondering if I even know some people, is the fact that 3/4 of the STEM team is the SAME as Sadies travel team. That means there is a high likelihood that some of those complaining today, are people who I thought would have been accepting and even happy that Charlie was helping out. I guess I was wrong. Well, for 2 years now I have been putting up with political bullshit in our town and secrets that have been told, and black balling that occurs in this town when it comes to certain people involved in certain sports. My stomach, mind and heart are hurting, and I am now at my wits end with it. As my kids would say: its on.
