My stay at Pratap Centre of Philosophy, Amalner, Maharashtra Since I spent about 4 years in this prestigious Centre in its crucial period, it would not be odd to share my experience and some photos of my stay through this Page. When I joined the Center in 1997, the Center was almost defunct with no teaching staff and with no regular activities. All its activities, particularly teaching and publication of its famous journal “The Philosophical Quarterly” were suspended. That was the time when the Center was under transition and was just taken over by the North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, which is located about 50 kms away from Amalner. Immediately after joining the Center, I started the MA programme in Philosophy, with the help of two guest faculties and revived the publication of the journal with a new series. I fondly remember my stay and association with the Center because I think I did my bit towards its development and because it was during this period I got married and my son Swapnil was born.
