My success Story was used during the During the Rotary 101 International Discon 2014 at Sofitel manila =) Good Morning Fellow Rotarians and to our Rotaracts: I am a Singing Painter internationally that’s how I was introduced in our shows. In Asia, Europe, Canada and USA. I’m the son of international painter E.R. Tagle and producer-philanthropist ElizaBeth Sison-Tagle, I had exhibits since 1995 at various galleries here and abroad. My first one-man exhibit was held in 1995 at the Lopez Museum, followed by several Father-son and fundraising exhibits for Foundation of the DILG. I joined several group shows in the US and around Asia, and also teaches art and voice lessons to students of all ages for more than 20years at the Galleries of Fine Arts in White Plains, Quezon City. Although principally a painter, I could not resist the call of music. I discovered my passion for singing as early as 4 years old when I sang “My Way” in tune, to the surprise of my parents. At 12, while studying at the James Denman Middle school in California, my own professor, Ms. Washington, noticed my musical talent and placed me in the school choir. That 30-students choir ended up winning several singing competitions with me as one of the main performers. I started singing professionally in 1998, becoming a male vocalist for different show bands such as Option, Prelude, 8th Avenue, Heat of the night and Fabuloso band. I soon expressed a preference for classical singing, and has had as mentors the late Al Mendoza of the Ryan Caybyab Music School, Abet de los Reyes, Nolyn Cabahug, and Philippine Opera Company founders Jay Greyoso and Karla Gutierrez with whom I performed with as Prince Tamino in Mozart’s Opera, “The Magic Flute”. I was formally introduced as a solo singer during Ivy V. Violan’s Valentine Show in 2004, which was followed by my first solo concert at the Hard Rock Café in November. In the same year, I received a nomination for Best New Artist at the Aliw Awards foundation. As a Solo Artist, now popularly known as the “Singing Painter”, I have so far participated in over 100 shows where I was either solo or guest. I performed alongside with Cabinet secretaries the salute 3 tenors! concert-for-a-cause series from 2003-2005, which were conceptualized and produced by my mother. This was followed by other notable performances which include “Bataan: Bayani at Banal” at the Manila Hotel, NCAA Cultural Summit at the Manila Pavilion where I performed “Kurakot”, as the winning song of the 2005 NCCA Songwriting contest, and the “Hearts in Motion” Valentine Concert at the Captain’s Bar, Mandarin Hotel with Ivy V. Violan, Dulce and Janet Basco. In early 2007, was front act for the Lettermen concert at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Last September 13, 2007, I had my first major concert entitled “Salute to George!: My First Major Concert with the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra”, at the Crowne Plaza Grand Ballroom. There, I introduced the country’s first classical-pop tenor group tag by the media as asia’s answer to Il divo called the Angelos. The same night, I started my classical-pop recording career as I launched my first self-titled light CD which includes original compositions by master composer Vehnee Saturno. We were also invited and the only Filipino to sing on the birthday celebration of Former US President Jimmy Carter in Atlanta Georgia in 2009. And in 2010 we won the best group in concert of the Aliw awards foundation, and 2011 we won the Global pinoy excellence award and in 2014 the national consumers award for best classical pop group. And now a recording artist of the Kapamilya Abs Cbn Star Records. In addition I was inspired to formed another two groups together with Musical director and composer Rotarian Kenneth Acosta with the supervision of Direk Freddie Santos called The Psychedelik the 70’s and 80’s show band and Just Guys the boy next door. Watch out for this young lads on your tv screens and soon a recording artist. My aim is to bring classical music closer to the hearts of the general Filipino audience through the classical-pop genre. “Classical need not to be boring,” . “I want Filipinos to appreciate classical music by making it more contemporary. I want to be able bring this type of music to the world, so that even abroad Filipino musical talent will always shine,” How did I achieved all of this? vision, ambition and action.. If I can do it, you can do it, We can all do it… THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS…
