My take on high intensity training (weights) - whats yours? Most people dont have the genetics to train as intensely as Dorian or similar that trained 3 or so days a week. People like that grow and keep a body like they do as they are pure out and out mesos, whose bodies are designed to build muscle and minimal fat. A friend of mine, weighs 280lb off season on 3500 cals a day. I do that on 6000 cals a day, and struggle to get it all in. Now people will laugh at me saying genetics for training, but Ive tried training in low volume, high intensity way, and all I end up with is injuries. Others, can and will do and will grow like mofos. Like anything, genetics will change everyones response to everything. Remember, we all have different muscle lengths, insertions, joint, tendon and bone shapes. Saying we will all respond and can train in the same way, is retarded.
