My take on this? Teacher was in the right. You throw a book at my head and you can consider it on. There was a valuable lesson taught here, and that lesson is violence is met with violence. Throw a punch and expect to get hit. Dont think cause you a student that you somehow protected from self defense, or if you a woman fighting a man, or a cop fighting a citizen. Force can and most likely will be met with force.
