My tenth round of chemo was called off! YAY! My doctor felt it would cause more harm than help so Im literally on doctors orders to lay low, take it easy, and dont stress for a few weeks until I begin my next bout with cancer. There has been a major change in my treatment plan too. Instead of using donor cells in the stem cell transplant I will be using my own cells. The major parts of the stem cell transplant remain the same and I will still be in the hospital for a month straight but we use my cells. This does leave the option for a donor transplant if needed in the future but we all hope and pray that my own cells can rid the cancer and we dont have to do the SCT twice. Im excited about finishing up my radiation treatments this week too, my arm is really feeling the effects of the radiation but the cancer is hurting too. The worst side effect is sleeping for 9 hours and then waking up and feeling like you have not slept a wink. Luckily Sarah and her sister Molly are here taking care of Parker and me when I need it. All is well in Houston and Ill keep my posts updated with cancer stuff as best I can. M
