My theory is this: Pilots encounter electrical faults, manages to land plane on water safely. All the crew and passengers get in the life rafts and head towards land. There either still on the rafts in the ocean somewhere, or, they had difficulty and drowned in the process of heading towards land. The reason the plane cant be found is cause the plane managed to land without trouble on the water, so the weight of plane caused it to sink, and now its resting intact way below on the seabed. Theres still a chance that the passengers r alive, due to the fact that there phones still seem to work.
