My thoughts!!! THE DEMISE OF A NATION Fellow Friends, - TopicsExpress

My thoughts!!! THE DEMISE OF A NATION Fellow Friends, Compatriots and Comrades, I have longed to address the quintessential methods of our politics. I have long conceived the idea that we are what we are because we have allowed maggots and vampires to rule us. They have taken away the essence of our virginity and carved for themselves kingdoms bought with our sweat and toil. What good has come out of your taxes, what good has emerged from your toil and tragedy? None, None, I say. Look around you, the earth swallows up your children ridden with poverty and disease. Their ghost eyes pierce through the swaddling cloth and their malnourished bodies laid to rest in shallow pits. Your old, live trembling, remembering the good days gone. The days when a beacon shone so bright, the world responded. Those days, the good old days, gone but not forgotten by them that experienced it. In the name of a revolution, we maim our brave and strip our mothers naked. In the name of revolution, we shoot our courageous and rip apart the law and the people who protect our law. Every queue, man, woman, child; struggle to find the very essentials that keep us alive. A revolution indeed. A sour one, if you ask me. I cringe at the false doctrine we call propaganda; I recoil at the malicious attacks on innocent people, I wince at the loud mouth verbal concoctions that pry on the minds of our people. All this in the name of politics. The politics of Nkrumah, shrouded in the myth that the Black man is capable of running his own affairs and the Preventive Detention Act The politics of Kofi Abrefa Busia, encased in the Aliens Compliance Order. The failures of Limann strategically placed in the womb of a certain Jerry Rawlings himself shrouded with a Gun and the Cross. Shame and dishonor of a nation displayed in a Highly Indebted Poor country status brought in ironically by the royal son of the Golden Stool, Agyekum Kufuor. Who can forget, his cry for peace, in what will be a nation riddled with corruption and the dynamism of judgment debts even to his own demise? This was the man called Atta Mills. Or his protege linked to fame but made infamous. Linked to stability but poised for instability on a scale unprecedented in our history. This is the story of the man Dramani. Our journey is complex. Our light dimmed by our own demise Our strength cut short by the greed of a few men Grave diggers approach from our borders ready to loot the plunder left behind Gold, Oil, Cocoa, Timber, Bauxite, Manganese and Gas All in the hand of the looters This is the demise of a Nation.
