My thoughts and prayers go out to Dr. Maya Angelou’s family and loved ones. Today, our country lost a legendary figure who lived a life inspiring generations of young writers to write from the depths of their souls. She fought for civil rights for women, African-Americans, and all those who were struggling and without a voice. Together let us celebrate, remember her life, and aspire to reach the bar she set. “Lift up your eyes upon the day breaking for you. Give birth again to the dream.”
